Welcome to Effective Speaking!
This semester, you will compose, record, and upload four speeches for the review of your professor and fellow classmates. Before you can get started, though, please review the syllabus. This document contains all of the course policies and procedures and can answer many of your questions.
We will be holding this class completely online. You will need to be able to record and upload video files. I recommend that all students have a reliable internet connection (no dial-up) and that you be able to download software to the computer you are using, if necessary.
Please note that Chrome is the preferred browser for Canvas. Many technical glitches can be avoided or fixed by ensuring that Canvas is open in Chrome.
Many of you are likely new to Canvas, so please also view the helpful introductory videos included below.
When you have completed reading this page and viewing the videos, please click on the "modules" link to your left to see the course materials and assignments. I know it's a lot of information to take in, but it will become easy to navigate after a day or two!
